Psychotherapy, Minus the Pretense

Integrative Psychotherapy
Many of my patients report feeling underwhelmed by previous therapies that felt generic or “cookie cutter” in their approach. My style is fresh, vivid, and real.
Integrative Psychotherapy
Holistic and Transformational Psychotherapy
Over many years of immersive study and practice, I’ve developed a unique style of psychotherapy that intuitively blends pragmatic here-and-now problem solving with depth-oriented exploration of underlying dynamics. In this approach, you and I are co-participants in a collaborative and interactive conversation that’s designed to help you perceive yourself and your situation with greater clarity and understanding. With this enhanced perception, you’re able to live with greater conviction, in a way that is aligned with your core values. And the alignment of action and values is, at a basic level, what endows one with the strength to endure through life’s inevitable trials and tribulations. As Nietzsche wisely observes, “he who has a why for which to live, can withstand any how.”
Over the course of my career, I‘ve worked with adults at every stage of the life-cycle, grappling with every kind of inner dilemma and conflict, from all around the world. Again and again, I’ve seen my clients take decisive steps forward when they emerge from the confusion in which they are stuck and begin to form clearer pictures of themselves and their situations. Nevertheless, one has never quite learned all there is to know, I find, about the mysterious inner workings of how and why people change their lives for the better. I hope you have found this introduction helpful, and that I have the opportunity to learn something from you as well!
